Senior Art Consultant
Project‑Based • Remote (Midwest Preferred)
PS Art Consulting is currently hiring an experienced, creative, and highly organized Senior Art Consultant to lead art programs from concept through installation. This project‑based, remote role (with preference for candidates in the Midwest) is ideal for someone with 5–10 years of professional art consulting experience, especially within healthcare or other mission‑driven environments.

Position Overview
The Senior Art Consultant is responsible for:
• Leading creative direction for medium and large projects
• Managing client relationships and presenting artwork selections
• Overseeing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Coordinating production, fabrication, and installation
• Supporting proposals and business development efforts
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Creative Direction
• Lead creative direction with oversight from the Director
• Develop comprehensive art concepts aligned with project goals
• Create and present look books, art plans, and full art packages
• Conduct art research and curate selections that support design intent
Client Engagement
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
• Lead and facilitate client meetings, including agendas and minutes
• Present concepts, artwork selections, and revisions clearly and professionally
Project Management
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Maintain master tracking documents for all project components
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Monitor hours and proactively communicate scope changes
Production & Implementation
• Oversee artwork production and fabrication
• Coordinate with artists, fabricators, and external partners
• Supervise installation and ensure quality control of final deliverables
Business Development & Collaboration
• Support business development efforts with the Founder
• Contribute to proposals, presentations, and client pitches
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
Required Experience
• 5–10 years of professional art consulting experience (healthcare preferred)
• Proven ability to independently manage medium ($10K–$50K) and large (>$50K) projects
Core Competencies
• Strong curatorial eye and art research capabilities
• Excellent creative and conceptual thinking skills
• Deep understanding of art, design, and spatial integration
• Exceptional communication and client presentation skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
Technical Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to create polished presentations, look books, and documentation
Professional Skills
• Skilled meeting leader—agenda creation, facilitation, documentation
• Strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self‑directed and comfortable working independently in a contract environment
Work Structure & Compensation
• Position Type: Independent contractor, project‑based
• Location: Remote; preference for candidates in the Midwest
• Reporting To: Chief Curator (Jennifer Perlow)
• Project Scope:
– Medium Projects: $10,000–$50,000
– Large Projects: $50,000+
• Compensation:
– Hourly rate based on experience and project scope
– Performance‑based bonus tied to project profitability
